Shirley Maike, Passages Family Support, Spokane, WA. we are a behavioral health agency providing mental health services. in Appendix E, Section II for additional elements - how do we mark them if we don't provide the service at all? we do provide some and will mark yes on site; but for others we don't provide that service or through affiliation.

For example, a mental health center that serves only individuals with developmental disabilities would be ineligible because they limit care to a specific population.All non-exempt NHSC behavioral health service sites that provide behavioral and mental health services must complete, sign and submit the NHSC Comprehensive Behavioral Health Services Checklist and upload current documents to demonstrate services provided directly to patients on-site and services provided through formal affiliation agreements. Hello Stacy, affiliations for specialty or ancillary services would be appropriate to have, for example, an affiliation with an oral surgeon, having an affilation with a Primary Care pediatric provider would also be important.

They must be an eligible site type and located in a HPSA, per the site requirements outlined in the NHSC Site Reference Guide (https://nhsc.hrsa.gov/sites/default/files/NHSC/nhsc-sites/nhsc-site-reference-guide.pdf). Any insured patient can use their private insurance, but if they have outstanding payments they cannot afford, and if they are eligible for a site's sliding fee/financial assistance program, they should be offered discounts for those outstanding balances accordingly.

Hello Bre. Providers with MAT Training are in a higher "Tier" for Loan Repayment Awards, but if your facility provides Substance Use Disorder Services the pediatricians are not required to be MAT/Data 2000 Waiver certified.

Regarding the multiple Medicare/Medicaid questions. Sites are approved as an entire entity. All providers at the site must accept Medicaid. If certain providers are unable to bill Medicare, they must make a SFS available for Medicare patients or offer care "pro-bono". But, sites can not turn Medicare patients away.

Answer to some of the MOU Questions: All behavioral health and SUD sites are required to have written MOU's in place for services not provided onsite. Dental and Medical sites can submit a dated letter detailing referral arrangements if formal arrangements do not exist.

@ Mary Badame - as a primary care site you can submit a dated and signed description of how you ensure patient access to PC and/or Dental ancillary, inpatient, and specialty care.

Hello Chiquita, your site must have a physical address to qualify for NHSC. All services can not be telehealth. There are increased telehealth flexibilities during COVID.

Answer to SUD HPSA's: For SUD sites, the NHSC can use either the Mental health or Primary Care HPSA. For questions about your HPSA score, please contact your state primary care office.
