07:18:10
Can you explain the telehealth distant information

07:18:17
Is there ways to improve our HPSA scores. I work for a prison and we always seem to have low scores based on the location - Danielle Trierweiler

07:18:22
I am an RN 35 yrs. experience, currently pursuing PMHNP , employed at approved HRSA site. This is my last yr. in school. I was told by HRSA, when I called I would not qualify for loan reimbursement , only for new RN grads pursuing NP degree. Is this true?

07:18:27
Sherrita: Do qualify, will private practice require LLC or 501c3 to determine eligibility to apply?

07:19:38
I am re-applying this year as a health care provider/family practice. I applied in 2017 but was denied due to our financial aid policy. That has changed. It says that my location is a Primary Care Discipline and a Dental Health discipline. How do I take the dental health discipline off?

07:19:39
I am an RN 35 yrs. experience, currently pursuing PMHNP , employed at approved HRSA site. This is my last yr. in school. I was told by HRSA, when I called I would not qualify for loan reimbursement , only for new RN grads pursuing NP degree. Is this true? Greta McCormick

07:19:57
Is there a calculator for us to use to see what our HPSA score might be before applying? - Danielle Trierweiler

07:19:57
We have many approved sites and just opened a new clinic. In order to get approval, do we apply prior to opening or only during the site application open period? We may open another new site in the near future.

07:20:00
Zulema Andino do you need to create a separate site application for each location under the same TIN?

07:20:12
Do you have to be a nonprofit to eligible? Can patients below the poverty level with a private insurance apply and how does that work? would we file the insurance first then adjust off the corresponding fee?

07:20:13
@ Jamila Walker: Please refer to page 15 of the SRG: Requirements for Primary Behavioral and Mental Health SitesBehavioral and mental health facilities must be located in and serve a mental health HPSA and must offer comprehensive primary behavioral health services to all residents of the defined mental health HPSA. For example, a mental health center that serves only individuals with developmental disabilities would be ineligible because they limit care to a specific population. All non-exempt NHSC behavioral health service sites that provide behavioral and mental health services must complete, sign and submit the NHSC Comprehensive Behavioral Health Services Checklist and upload current documents to demonstrate services provided directly to patients on-site and services provided through formal affiliation agreements. Please review the NHSC Comprehensive Behavioral Health Services Checklist in Appendix E.....

07:20:16
Mariel Connell - do you need to create a separate site application for each location under the same TIN?Correct, you will need to submit a separate application for each site location

07:20:19
Reggie Nichols. Will these questions and answers be synthesized and available for perusal at a later time? With over 300 participants (all of which have questions or we wouldn't be here) I find navigating the chat for applicable answers to be detrimentally difficult.

07:20:20
We are a pediatric dental clinic, please clarify for what services we need to have an affiliation agreement completed in with another organization. Thank you!

07:20:21
The Haven - Yes, please create a separate site application for each site.

07:20:37
Question from Mariel Connell - do you need to create a separate site application for each location under the same TIN? // Answer: Not familiar with what a TIN is, but each clinical service location must submit a separate site application, even if they are all under the same organization.

07:20:42
Kayla Doherty: Do all clinicians @ the site (behavioral health private practice) need to accept medicare AND medicaid? (We have some clinicians who accept both, some that accept only medicare and some that accept medicaid)

07:20:55
Hello A. Parent Urgent Care sites can be eligible for the NHSC, please contact your Regional Analyst for more information: https://nhsc.hrsa.gov/nhsc-sites/contacts/regional-offices-state-contacts.html

07:21:30
Chiquita Jones: We are 100% telehealth, does that place a part in not getting approved?

07:21:31
Is it recommended that Pediatricians complete MAT training or does that only apply to SAMHSA?

07:21:35
Will you be verbally answering these questions today....Kim

07:21:59
Rebecca Dyer Mental Health NM - My organization has a residential program. Are we still eligible? Page 7 of the NHSC site reference guide states residential facilities are ineligible for the NHSC.https://nhsc.hrsa.gov/sites/default/files/NHSC/nhsc-sites/nhsc-site-reference-guide.pdf

07:22:23
Dom Carriero: would everyone in my mental health facility need to be under medicare in order to be approved?

07:22:44
Hello Stacy, affiliations for specialty or ancillary services would be appropriate to have, for example, an affiliation with an oral surgeon, having an affilation with a Primary Care pediatric provider would also be important.

07:22:45
Jamila Walker: Will the chat be shared as well?

07:22:48
I agree with Kim can this be verbal because I have some of the same questions as others - Danielle Trierweiler

07:22:51
Thank you heather

07:23:10
Question: Do you have to be a nonprofit to eligible? Can patients below the poverty level with a private insurance apply and how does that work? would we file the insurance first then adjust off the corresponding fee?Answer: No, sites do not have to be a nonprofit to be eligible for site approval. They must be an eligible site type and located in a HPSA, per the site requirements outlined in the NHSC Site Reference Guide (https://nhsc.hrsa.gov/sites/default/files/NHSC/nhsc-sites/nhsc-site-reference-guide.pdf). Any insured patient can use their private insurance, but if they have outstanding payments they cannot afford, and if they are eligible for a site's sliding fee/financial assistance program, they should be offered discounts for those outstanding balances accordingly.

07:23:20
Are clinics meant to create our own affiliation agreements or connections? or Is there a list of participating providers we can coordinate with in our area?

07:24:07
From Rebecca Dyer Mental Health NM to Everyone: 11:44 AMMy organization has a residential program. Are we still ellgible?Residential sites are not eligible to be an NHSC approved site

07:24:26
Hello Bre. Providers with MAT Training are in a higher "Tier" for Loan Repayment Awards, but if your facility provides Substance Use Disorder Services the pediatricians are not required to be MAT/Data 2000 Waiver certified.

07:24:41
I am not hearing any replies...……….. is there something wrong with the audio

07:24:41
Hello Bre,

07:24:42
From Lorie Widman to Everyone: 01:44 PMIs the site the entire practice or is it provider specific? Can we apply the Sliding Fee Schedule to certain providers only? Answer: The SFS must apply to all comprehensive services for your discipline.

07:24:53
Response to emendozaWe have many approved sites and just opened a new clinic. In order to get approval, do we apply prior to opening or only during the site application open period? We may open another new site in the near future.-Site applications can only be submitting after a site is open and the site has 6 months of data to report.

07:24:59
Is anyone actually answering any questions?

07:25:33
Can you clarify what the primary care service requirements are for a mental Health & SUD clinics? If we do not provide primary care services at the site is an affiliation with a primary care office or FQHC sufficient?

07:25:34
Hello Bre, Yes, your clinic should establish its own Affiliations with other entitites that help you provide comprehensive behavioral health or primary care services

07:25:40
It is difficult to differentiate the questions from the answers.

07:25:40
Just an FYI, you can save the chat for later reference if needed

07:25:44
Will we get a copy of this chat so we can review all questions and anwers?

07:26:00
Mary Badame - we are a primary care site, but have had a hard time getting a signed agreement with a hospital. Is a plan acceptable or do we need an MOU?

07:26:00
How do you save the chat?

07:26:04
You can click on the three dots and click "save chat" if you would like

07:26:14
Thank you!

07:26:14
i see many many people askibg about behavioral health required affiliations an no answers yet

07:26:20
Regarding the multiple Medicare/Medicaid questions. Sites are approved as an entire entity. All providers at the site must accept Medicaid. If certain providers are unable to bill Medicare, they must make a SFS available for Medicare patients or offer care "pro-bono". But, sites can not turn Medicare patients away.

07:26:21
Can we get a copy of the power point emailed to us? - Danielle Trierweiler

07:26:38
The three dots are next to the "file" option just above the chat box where you type

07:26:41
Where is the link to the slides?

07:26:57
to clarify- if we meet requirements as a primary behavioral and mental health site.... do we need to have an affiliate agreement for primary physical health issues as well? As in primary care (HTN, DM, etc)…???

07:26:59
The slides will be shared after.

07:28:09
I'm confused! Where are the response to questions typed?

07:28:20
Jessica Cantermen: Can you please repeat how one determines HPSA for substance use disorder treatment providers? Is it based on a medical or mental health shortage? Both?

07:28:23
Answer to some of the MOU Questions: All behavioral health and SUD sites are required to have written MOU's in place for services not provided onsite. Dental and Medical sites can submit a dated letter detailing referral arrangements if formal arrangements do not exist.

07:28:26
@ Mary Badame - as a primary care site you can submit a dated and signed description of how you ensure patient access to PC and/or Dental ancillary, inpatient, and specialty care.

07:28:35
please, are small behavioral health clinics required to get formal agreements with all services such as psychiatrists and inpatient care? this seems excessive

07:28:55
CreekSite John Randall: As a private out patient mental health clinic do I need an agreement for in-patient care and care management? Response: An agreement is required for all services not provided on-site on the comprehensive behavioral services checklist. See page 15 of the NHSC Site Reference Guide https://nhsc.hrsa.gov/sites/default/files/NHSC/nhsc-sites/nhsc-site-reference-guide.pdf.

07:28:58
Will current employees be eligible for loan repayment

07:29:17
Hello Chiquita, your site must have a physical address to qualify for NHSC. All services can not be telehealth. There are increased telehealth flexibilities during COVID.

07:29:27
Question from Chiquita Jones: We are 100% telehealth, does that place a part in not getting approved?A site that provides all of its services via telehealth would not be eligible for the NHSC unless the site has both a distant and originating site, both NHSC-approved, from which services are provided and received. This is covered in more detail beginning on page 42 of the NHSC Site Reference Guide (https://nhsc.hrsa.gov/sites/default/files/NHSC/nhsc-sites/nhsc-site-reference-guide.pdf)

07:29:44
sika that link was broken

07:29:50
If you have multiple sites under 1 TIN, does every site need its own application?

07:30:17
so if I am applying as a primary mental health/behavioral health and the only thing on the BH checklist we don't provide is inpatient care - would I only need an affiliation agreement with a hospital for these services?

07:30:19
Answer to SUD HPSA's: For SUD sites, the NHSC can use either the Mental health or Primary Care HPSA. For questions about your HPSA score, please contact your state primary care office.

07:30:22
Kari H: yes current qualifying employees will be eligible for loan repayment

07:30:24
Do you have our email address? We did not register...

07:30:36
Email answers would be great. If we have to get formalized MOUs with larger agencies we will need to get working on that STAT and the 5/5 date would likely not leave enough time to complete that task

07:30:37
If our program is located in a MUA/P only area, do we still qualify?

07:30:59
You can save the chat by clicking on the 3 dots next to where it says file.

07:31:08
Hello Siobhan, each site would need to have it's own application. Many of the documents you upload are the same for each location, so be sure to keep the documents saved in one place for ease of uploading.

07:31:09
TK - Please are small behavioral health clinics required to get formal agreements with all services such as psychiatrists and inpatient care? this seems excessiveResponse - An agreement is required for all services not provided on-site on the comprehensive behavioral services checklist. See page 15 of the NHSC Site Reference Guide https://nhsc.hrsa.gov/sites/default/files/NHSC/nhsc-sites/nhsc-site-reference-guide.pdf

07:31:10
Will there be a TA toolkit for community organization to reference to provide TA to eligible sites, in hopes of expanded NHSC site application submissions?

07:31:14
Did you capture our email addresses as we registered?

07:31:15
I did not register for this event. Will you just send it out everyone who received the invite

07:31:30
Question from Gregory Shannon: If our program is located in a MUA/P only area, do we still qualify? // Answer: No, a site must be located in a HPSA to be eligible for the NHSC. An MUA/P does not meet the HPSA score requirement.
