Are these eligible: NP and PA Residency Programs who have received accreditation by the National Nurse Practitioner Residency and Fellowship Training Consortium.

We currently have a Pediatric Dental Residency Program in conjunction with NYU Langone. Are we able to use this funding to add teachers to this program so we are able to expand the FTE of residents we are able to take on? NYU pays the residents, we pay the instructors.

We have a new Family Medicine Residency Program at our critical access hospital in rural Eastern WA. Are we eligible to apply?

We are an FQHC and got funded for the TCH planning and Developing grant, we plan to host residents on July 2024, can we apply to this grant?

@Dr. Lane - Preventive medicine residency programs are covered under a different program -The Preventive Medicine Residency Program - also based in the Division of Medicine and Dentistry.

Geriatrics is subspecialty after FM or IM, how does tht work?

@Natalie - my understanding is no. This funding is for FTEs for funding the residents and NYU does that for you.

@Tomekia B - Please confirm that CMHC refers to Community Mental Health Clinic. If so, Community Mental Health Clinics are eligible.

@ Jennifer - it is accredited as its own problem either by the IM or FM RCs

@Jennifer Genuardi - both types of geriatric fellowships are eligible as long as the fellowship is community based.

So this money is for the salaries of the residents? The presenter just stated that it is for indirect and direct costs so I am a little confused.

For the geriatric training program is the funding for fellowship?

What if you are a public entity or co-applicant model FQHC?

Are there any HRSA funding opportunities to help FQHCs develop residency training programs?

If we are not yet a part of a GME consortium, is this something that must be formalized prior to applying?

@Elizabeth Philippe -Yes. The funding is for the fellowship.

Will this opportunity be available next year? We are not quite there yet accreditation wise, but our program might be there in a year and half and we will like to have this FTE support for Residents salaries

@Jackie - do you have an ACGME or CODA accredited program already extant?

The slides indicated that programs should be ready to train residents on July 1, 2022. We have not recruited residents for this funding opportunity, so while we will be ready to train them, we won't have residents to train until July 1, 2023.

I second echo Angela’s question regarding funding for future years.

If your sponsor is listed as both a combination of Academic Institution and a community hospital, are you eligible to apply?

To be clear we cannot apply if we have positions that are currently State funded and we have funding for the 22/23 Academic Year.

I echo Kelly Huntsman's concern that the timing between the award determination date and the July 1 residency start date does not leave much time for recruitment. Is July 1 start date for new residents a hard and fast requirement?

Should the FQHC already have residency training program in place?

If a FQHC is a public entity with a hospital and the hospital is named on the ACGME certification... is the program still ineligible?

Agree, it is not realistic to recruit residents after March 31 for July 1 start date. So would be helpful to hear how previous awardees planned this. And another question - the accreditation for primary care and psychiatry programs goes through ABIM and ABPN respectively. And their approval would depend on significant amount of hospital resident experience. Would that be considered not congruent with the community based expectations for this TH grant?

Is there some expectations or limitations on the allowable fundable time of faculty in relationship to the number of residents?

If we have some slots funded through THC, but have more resident FTE than we have funding for and rely on local community hospitals to fill the gap in funding each year, this is not budgeted, does that mean we can apply for this THC funding though our total resident FTE has not changed

Is there any way this funding can be used to sustain current operations of a FQHC Residency program, that would be considered a new THC and has 24 seats already and cannot open up new seats?

Where should we go to look for the recording?

If we have short term grants that cover non-THCGME spots but that funding terminates in less than a year leaving us with no $ for those spots, you notice says that we can't apply for these funds. Is that correct? Why?

So there MUST be a consortium because an FQHC for example,cannot be an accredited ACGME since they do not have the inpatient component necessary for residency training?

Our community hospital provides us with a donation to assist in offsetting the costs of hosting the residency program. Are we still eligible to apply?

Is the $ 160k per year? For the next 4years?

In seeking funding for psych for example: would we seek 160K * (4+8+12+16) (ie over 4 years of training)

Our institution has the contract start date for all residency programs of June 24th each year (and end on June 23 of their graduating year). As many other institutions do the same, will these funds be provided for those days before July 1, 2022?

If we are applying for an expansion, but have not yet received accreditation for the expansion can we apply. What is the cut off date for prove of expansion?

We had 24 slot during AY18-19 and do not plan to expand that baseline- could this funding be used to continue the current operations of our 24 baseline slots?

We are an FQHC and have a residency program and meet the eligibility requirements - could we utilize this funding for the salaries of support staff like Dental Assistants as long as their salaries are not currently being covered by other federal monies?

If this grant funding becomes available again next FY with similar terms I would appreciate suggestions on how to recruit residents in the Nov-Feb cycle (the usual recruitment time) when obviously funding would not have been applied for and granted yet.
