Amber
49:30
Amber Linza (amber.linza@hrrmc.net) I have a question about the cost sharing/matching section. Is it expected to have a partner that matches 50% of the award granted if chosen? Or is this match fund part of the operation costs of the facility?
Roslyn Gary
49:44
My name is Elizabeth Gary Nurse Midwife at Chinle Hospital IHS Facility. Are rural hospitals eligible for this grant to improve our provider skills through simulation
Denise Kornegay
49:44
Denise Kornegay, Georgia Statewide AHEC, dkornega@augusta.edu Can you give us some definitive examples of what kind of programing you are looking for?

JD Garza
50:03
J.D Garza, California AHEC Program office, juan.garza@ucsf.edu, does the program office absolutely need to hire a 1.0 FTE coordinator for this grant?
Debra Youngfelt
50:04
Can the deadline for submission be extended? Can AHEC centers who are sub award recipients apply for the grant if the Program Office is unable due to the timeframe for submission?
Judith Sayad
50:08
Illinois AHEC, Judith Sayad, jvsayad@uic.edu. If the program office applies, do the activities have to serve all centers in the state or can it apply on behalf of a subset of centers?
Jonathan Kwan
50:22
Jonathan Kwan, jjkwan@ucdavis.eduWould a sub-AHEC (Central Valley AHEC) eligible requirements for this grant?
Marcia
50:23
Is there a list or organizations currently receiving HRSA-17-071 funds?
Judith Sayad
50:34
Illinois AHEC, Judith Sayad, jvsayad@uic.edu. Can individual centers apply?
Sharon Hutchinson
51:40
I thought the cost sharing is 1-1, not 50% as stated by Amber Linza (Sharon Hutchinson; shutchinson@ucsf.edu)
Mona Lee
52:33
Mona Lee (monalee@altamed.org)• Where would an app purchase fall under in Section F, other Direct Costs? Should we list this as a separate item?• If our agency’s federally negotiated rate agreement is 25%, can we allocate 17% of the requested funds as part of our cost-sharing/indirect costs? This will be on top of the 25% we will allocate for our in-kind total of indirect costs.
Roslyn Gary
52:36
Elizabeth Gary CNM, can the funding be specific for a department like Women’s Health OBGYN instead of applying for the whole hospital?
Gerald Ackerman
52:56
Gerald Ackerman Nevada AHEC So when you show the total amount of grant award. This total includes the state and or local match. So for a 500,000 grant it would be 250,000 local resources and 250,000 federal. Or for a 250,000 125,000 local and 125,000 federal?
Ken Stagliano
53:25
Is there a one to one match required? Does 75% of the award go to the individual AHECs or to the simulation lab that will be used by the AHECs? Ken NJ AHEC
Judith Sayad
55:41
jvsayad@uic.edu, Illinois AHEC. Can you give further details on the first bullet point under program requirements? Specifically related to how to incorporate the six core topic areas; and your definition of "all current AHEC participants"
Stacey Morrison, WWAMI AHEC, UW
56:02
Curtis, what is your email again? Can you put it in the chat?

Haru Okuda, yokuda@usf.edu; Question on Cost Sharing/Matching - It states recipient shall provide recurring non-federal contributions in cash or in kind equal to not less than 50%. This is not a recurring grant correct? Can you clarify?
Roslyn Gary
56:42
Do you have to be an AHEC site to receive this grant? My site is Federal IHS and we don’t have any standing matching
CColston
58:23
after a brief conference with program staff I will provide a clarification on the matching requirement and will include it with the SF RR Fed/non Fed budget form
Judith Sayad
59:08
Please understand people ask questions when the NOFO is unclear, not because we didn't read it.
Denise Kornegay
01:00:26
So we don't have to fund all centers in our state, but we do have to allocate 75% of the total award to the centers who were included?
Gerald Ackerman
01:05:17
Could you drop Curtis email in the chat. Gerald Ackerman Nevada AHEC

Sharon Hutchinson

shutchinson@ucsf.edu; Sharon Hutchinson, UCSF Office of Sponsored Research: will all of the questions answered off line here will be included in a FAQ version available to all. There are a lot of good questions that will be answered directly by program staff that we will all be interested to hear.

The ability to meet the timeline of this grant with most grants having to go through University Systems may leave several states out. Most Universities have a 1 week submission to the University prior to sending to our federal partners. An additional amount of time for submission maybe a request we put into the federal office.
