Can you please review the Implementation Certification Template and how to complete it. We have already contracted the architect but have not yet contracted the construction firm.
Terri Klemetson

Our H8F approved budget is $498,901 but our team has requested a room addition to our remodel project, they need to add cabinetry to the Pharmacy. This puts us in a quandary because HRSA says the A/R project can’t be over $500,000, can we add to the budget with our own reserve funding so that we can use the same permit and architectural oversight? It will save our health center money, instead of creating a whole separate bid process.

How do we amend a submission that has already been sent, but later received additional information on what was needed.

We received NOA for LAL grant, but received questions on the minor a/r project. Do we have to wait for another notice from HRSA indicating approval of total minor a/r project before starting work? Can we start on activities that we know are approved?

We have a task in EHB called H8F Minor A/R - Project Implementation Certification, due 9/4/21. 1-20 uploads are required. What do we need to submit for this task?

We used the architect in 2018 to draw the approved plans. Could we exclude this cost from the $500,000 limit?

We requested generators and are being told there is a requirement that ground disturbance need to be 30 sq ft or less. Is this is accurate for these funds?
Christi Hunt
37:35
Why is the review process taking so long? We have already had to submit progress reports but have no approval to use the funds. We are told they are still with the AR Committee under review.
Jennifer Atticot
38:21
How do we ask for an extension on our implementation (first deliverable). Also, how do we ask for a revision on our submitted project plan?
Naureen Khan

I have the same question - We have a task in EHB called H8F Minor A/R - Project Implementation Certification, due 9/4/21. 1-20 uploads are required. What do we need to submit for this task?

Our covered walkway was denied. It is covering an existing sidewalk connecting to existing awnings and not disturbing the ground or changing any footprints. Why was it denied?

Our Minor A/R is a rooftop A/C unit and is a retroactive cost, this was completed in April (prior to grant announcement). We've been asked for a hazardous building material inspection - however because the job has been completed (no demolition was done, HVAC units were simply replaced with a like model) I'm not sure how this can be done retroactively.

In the first slide you mentioned a cap of $500k total for minor alterations/renovations. Then in paragraph description it says $500k per site.
Yvonne Claudio

So work can only begin after receiving the official approval notices.

Barbara McCullough

Can we pay for our architect before all the approvals with ARP funds?
Terri Klemetson
01:04:46
We have two buildings located on one property, both buildings are part of the H8F remodel project, can we separate the H8F A/R for each building so that we can spend more? Our H8F was already approved, but then we could add more of our own reserve funding to keep the $500,000 per site instead of maxing our budget. Maybe ask our Project Office or too late in the process?
Signe Porter
01:06:45
I thought there could be no graound disturbance? Is that not true?

According to the HRSA web: Is the maximum of $500,000 in H8F funds for minor A/R a per-site limit or a per-health center limit? It is a per-health center limit. H8F funding for minor A/R activities is limited to a combined total of $500,000 per health center, across all sites. See the Other Requirements for Sites form (PDF - 201 KB) for instructions regarding minor A/R requirements.(Added: 5/17/2021)

Your paragraphs and question answers keep changing the answer to the question is it $500k total or up to $500k per site

Based upon the earlier discussion, it sounds like we can just edit the Implementation Certification form if we don't use a hired architect nor engineer. At our site, we have requested just the replacement of an external generator, roof re-shingled and resurfacing of the parking lot therefore will not be hiring additional contractors. The individual vendors will be responsible for adhering to state/local codes. Do we just edit the form to state that the individual contractors are responsible for assuring compliance with code, etc..?

For our ARP grant, we were awarded $600K. does that mean we are limited to under $500k per sure?
